Le chanteur et guitariste du groupe belge "Such A Noise" avait choisi le Spirit of 66, comme l'année dernière, pour y rassembler quelques amis musiciens, et y fêter ce 20 janvier 2008 son (51ème) anniversaire.

The singer and guitar player of the Belgian band "Such A Noise" had chosen the Spirit of 66, like last year, to gather some friends to celebrate on this 20th January his (51st) birthday.

NINE BELOW ZERO (Spirit of 66, 9. Jan. 2008)
Un des plus anciens et des plus fameux groupes britanniques de blues encore en activité. Mark Feltham, Gerry McAvoy et Brendan o'Neill ont chacun passé plusieurs années aux côtés de Rory Gallagher. Ils avaient enthousiasmé le public lors de leurs récents passages en Belgique, au Spirit en 2006, puis à Charleroi et à Gouvy l'an dernier. Raison de plus pour ne pas manquer leur retour au Spirit ce 9 janvier 2008.

One of the oldest and the most famous British blues bands in activity. Mark Feltham, Gerry McAvoy and Brendan o'Neill spent many years accompanying Rory Gallagher on tour before his death. They gave fantastic shows when they played recently in Belgium, at the Spirit of 66 in 2006, then in Charleroi and Gouvy last year. One more reason to see their come-back at the Spirit this 9th January 2008.

WEBB WILDER (Spirit of 66, 27. Nov. 2007)
Webb Wilder n'était plus venu en Belgique depuis 1996. Sa courte tournée européenne de cette année faisait une escale unique dans notre pays, au Spirit of 66. Il a ravi un public venu assez nombreux pour écouter ce musicien de Nashville, capitale du rock 'n roll.

The last time Webb Wilder came in Belgium was in 1996. His short european tour made an only stage in our country, at the Spirit of 66, on the 27th Nov. '07. He charmed the audience with his roots and rock 'n roll music from Nashville.

Studebaker John Grimaldi est un bluesman originaire de Chicago, guitariste et harmoniciste. Il est actuellement en tournée en Europe avec son groupe, et il donnait un concert la semaine dernière au Spirit of 66. Je ne le connaissais pas du tout, mais après avoir parlé avec Francis, j'ai cherché quelques informations et j'ai eu envie de le découvrir.

Studebaker John Grimaldi is a blues musician born in Chicago, playing guitar and bluesharps. He's now touring in Europe with his band, and gave a concert last week at the Spirit of 66. I didn't know him, but after I spoke with Francis Geron about him, I search informations on the web, and I decided to assist to the gig.

STAN WEBB's CHICKEN SHACK (Spirit of 66, 31. Oct. 2007)
A la fin des années '60, Chicken Shack était un des grands groupes de blues en Grande-Bretagne. Mais lorsque sa claviériste, Christine Perfect quitta le groupe pour rejoindre John McVie au sein de Fleetwood Mac et l'épouser, la réputation du groupe commença à faiblir.

Depuis quelques années, son guitariste leader, Stan Webb, est à nouveau en tournée pour faire revivre la tradition du British blues.

At the end of the years '60, Chicken Shack was one of the greatest blues bands in Great-Britain. But when its keyboard player, Christine Perfect, left the band to join John McVie in Fleetwood Mac and marry him, the fame began to decline.

Since some years, its lead guitar player, Stan Webb, is back on tour to make live again the British blues tradition.
